Hello everyone! My name is Kelly Nelson, and I am from Norton, Massachusetts. I graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. While at Holy Cross, I was a pitcher on their softball team. In my senior year, I worked as a Patient and Community Outreach Intern with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This role pushed me outside my comfort zone and helped me discover Genetic Counseling.

After graduation, I worked for two years as a Research Enrollment Coordinator for the All of Us Research Program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. A large part of my job was speaking with patients in the hospital, educating them about the study, and helping them to enroll if they were interested. I spent a lot of my time on the post-partum floor and I enjoyed talking with new parents. I also volunteered as a Crisis Counselor at Crisis Textline and was a softball pitching coach. I value my time between undergrad and UNCG as it was an important time for personal and professional growth.

In my free time, I love to bake, do yoga, and hang out with my cats. I am always happy to answer questions, so please feel free to reach out!
