Following graduation in 2003, Ashley took a Director position at the Hereditary Cancer Program at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Two years later, a newly formed biopharmaceutical company, BioMarin Pharmaceutical was looking to start a medical affairs division with 3 genetic counselors as Medical Science Liaisons. Thus, in 2005, Ashley joined BioMarin as an MSL covering the Southeastern US to launch ERT for MPS VI (Naglazyme). Sixteen years later, she remains a Sr. MSL covering the Southeastern US within the Skeletal Dysplasia division of BioMarin. In 2019, Ashley was awarded the Janus lecture at the Annual NSGC conference. This presentation focused on her experience in enzyme replacement therapy for the treatment of mucopolysaccharidoses as a tool to better understand the progression of rare disease.
Married since 2006, Ashley resides in New Orleans, LA with her husband (Nick), 12-year-old daughter (Stella), 5-year-old son (Wendell) and their dog Maple.
